If you own a 41 mm Royal Oak, the strap you need is 26 mm at the case, cut to the shape of the Royal Oak's integrated case opening. That one size covers the three generations of the time-and-date Royal Oak 41: the 15400ST, the 15500ST and the current 15510ST. What it does not cover is the 39 mm Royal Oak or any Offshore, which is where most wrong orders come from.
15400, 15500, 15510 and the chronographs: one strap for all
| Reference | Years | Case | Movement | Strap at case |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 15400ST | 2012 to 2017 | 41 mm, 9.8 mm thick | Cal. 3120 | 26 mm |
| 15500ST | 2019 to 2022 | 41 mm, 10.4 mm thick | Cal. 4302 | 26 mm |
| 15510ST | 2022 onwards | 41 mm, 10.4 mm thick | Cal. 4302 | 26 mm |
| 26331ST (Chronograph) | from 2017 | 41 mm | Cal. 2385 | 26 mm |
| 26240ST (Chronograph) | from 2021 | 41 mm | Cal. 4401 | 26 mm |
The changes between generations are inside and on the dial: a new movement for the 15500, a full-dial Grande Tapisserie and a slimmer bracelet for the 15510. The case opening the strap fits into stayed the same, so a strap that fits a 15400 fits a 15510. The 41 mm chronographs, the 26331ST and the 26240ST, take the same straps, so everything in the Royal Oak 41 collection fits them too.
Do not mix it up with the 39 or the Offshore
The Royal Oak family looks alike in photos, and the straps are not interchangeable:
- Royal Oak 39 mm: its own, smaller strap. See Royal Oak 39 straps.
- Royal Oak Offshore 42 mm: 28 mm at the case. See Offshore 42 straps.
- Royal Oak Offshore 44 mm: 30 mm at the case. Our Offshore 44 strap guide covers it in detail.
Width alone is not enough on an integrated case. The strap end has to follow the case line as it leaves the opening, or you get a wedge-shaped gap on each side. That is why a generic 26 mm strap never looks right on a Royal Oak.
Rubber, crocodile or steel
Rubber: the everyday choice
Rubber is how most owners wear the Royal Oak 41 off the bracelet. It is lighter, cooler in heat and fine in the sea. The black rubber strap works with every dial; the navy rubber strap sits well with the blue Tapisserie dials. Grey, white and camo versions are in the collection. Our rubber straps are 115 mm + 70 mm and carry a lifetime warranty on the rubber.
Crocodile leather: for evenings
A brown crocodile strap takes the edge off the steel and makes the Royal Oak a dress watch. Black and blue are also available. Leather does not like water, so keep it for dry days. 1-year warranty.
Steel: a second bracelet
If you want the bracelet look but keep the factory bracelet safe, our steel strap for the Royal Oak comes in 21, 26 and 28 mm. Choose 26 mm for the 41. 1-year warranty.
Butterfly buckle or pin buckle
Each strap comes with a butterfly (deployant) buckle, a pin buckle, or no buckle, in silver, gold or rose gold. The butterfly buckle keeps the closed look of the bracelet and spares the rubber from bending at the same point every day. The pin buckle is lighter and easier to adjust. Our pin buckle vs deployant guide explains the trade-offs.
Fitting
The Royal Oak bracelet is attached at the case with screws, not standard spring bars, which is why our AP strap tool kit includes a screwdriver as well as a removal tool. Work on a soft cloth, take your time on the screws, and keep the bracelet with all its parts together.
FAQ
What strap width does the Royal Oak 41 take?

Will a Royal Oak 41 strap fit my Royal Oak 39?
No. The 39 mm case has its own strap. Use the Royal Oak 39 collection.
Will it fit a Royal Oak Offshore?
No. The Offshore 42 takes 28 mm and the Offshore 44 takes 30 mm, each with its own strap.
What warranty do the straps have?
